BlackBook can use AI to help research contacts, summarize interactions, and provide intelligent suggestions. You bring your own API keys - your data stays private.
What AI Can Do

Anthropic (Claude)
RecommendedClaude is excellent for research, writing, and analysis. Great at understanding context.

GPT-4 is powerful and versatile. Good all-around choice for various tasks.

Gemini offers fast responses and good integration with Google services.

For contact research, BlackBook can search the web. Add a search API key for better results.

Setup
- Get an API key from your preferred provider (links above)
- Open BlackBook Settings → AI Configuration
- Enter your API key(s)
- Select your default provider
- Click Save

Privacy
Your data stays private. When using AI features:
- • Only the specific contact/text you're researching is sent
- • API keys are stored locally on your computer
- • No data is shared with BlackBook servers
- • You can review what's sent in the AI chat interface
Using AI Research
- Open a contact's profile
- Click the "AI Research" button
- BlackBook will search for:
- LinkedIn profile
- Company information
- Recent news mentions
- Professional background
- Review and save relevant information
